This recipe is so yummy and so easy to make for a side dish or even a quick meal.
- 1 1/2 lb of green beans (fresh or frozen, I have even made it with can green beans)
- 1/4 lb of deli ham, you can use more if you like. Bacon is also very good. (I like to use polish ham, but use what ever you like)
- 1/4 cup of diced onion
- 1 Tablespoon of GOOD Olive oil (this is very important because it will leave a greasy film on them… I speak from experience, not good!)
- 1/4 cup of water
- Salt & pepper to taste
Saute your onions in the olive oil then add ham cook for 2-3 minutes. Add green beans and water. Cover & simmer for 8-10 minutes till green beans are tender.
